Color on every road out of town, agates on the beach and the breakwall to walk. It all starts right outside your door.

Maples turn red and gold along every road out of town, from the falls to the dunes. Ask us at the front desk for the best drive of the week.

Hunt for agates along the shoreline by day. After dark, yooperlites glow under UV light. It’s rock hound heaven.

Walk the sand, climb the dune and look out over West Bay, keeping your eyes on the shoreline for agates.

Stroll the boardwalk out to the light station, a 4-mile walk.

When you want to come in from the weather, the Captain’s Club is open to every guest: a fireplace, a big screen and plenty of room to spread out.
Clothing, locally made jewelry, arts and crafts. Take a little piece of the Point home with you.

Once you book your room, we’ll email you how to book these tours.

Fletchy’s is on Coast Guard Point in Grand Marais, between Lake Superior and West Bay. The Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore starts a few minutes’ drive west, and the Maritime Museum is a short walk away.
“We frequent Grand Marais 4-5 times a year … and Fletchy’s has been a major improvement to the town and pier area! … Their food really is remarkable! … Their biscuits and gravy are something to write home about and the cinnamon rolls are divine! Fletchy himself is always present, kind and attentive to his guests.”
